IBES Officer of 1977 batch. Started carrier as ADE in Broadcasting House, AIR, New Delhi. Worked as Dy. Director (Engg.) in Studio Design section for about 10 years, Superintending Engineer at AIR, BH, New Delhi and AIR Hyderabad, Director (Engg.), STI(T), Delhi about 5 years and worked as ADG (E) (NEZ) also.

Worked  as Technical Consultant on deputation in Bhutan Broadcasting Corporation, Thimphu (Bhutan) during 1994-95.

Specialisation

Digital audio production and transmission. Management of technical facilities for Radio coverage of various prestigious games i.e. ASIAD – 1982 in Delhi, National Games– 2003 in Hyderabad, Afro-Asian games – 2004 in Hyderabad, Common Wealth Games – 2006 in Melbourn (Australia), Asian games-2006 in Doha (Qatar).

Winner of many Akashvani Awards in the category “Best Maintained Station” & “Best Designed Project”.

IBES Officer of 1987 batch of Engineering Service. Joined AIR & Doordarshan in 1989 at Zonal Office Kolkata. He did installations of DDK Dibrugarh, DDK Itanagar and three low power TV Transmitters. Later on served as Engineering Head at AIR Silchar, AIR Hazaribagh and AIR Guwahati. He also served at STI(T) Delhi, New Broadcasting House Delhi and DG:AIR.

Fellow of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, India.

Recipient of first ‘Best Trainer Award’ under Akashvani Annual Awards for Technical Excellence 2005.

Professional Experience

Four years research experience from Society for Applied Microwave Electronic Engineering and Research (SMEER) under department of Electronics. Worked on design and development of integrated optical spectrum analyser, design & developement of interdigitated metallic fingers to generate SAW from 400MHz to 800MHz, designed optical direction coupler using optical channel waveguides and fabricated optical planar waveguides using 'Proton Exchange Method' and 'Ti-Diffusion Method'.

Four years experience of installation TV Studio and TV Transmitter projects in the different parts of Northern India.  

Seven years of teaching experience in TV production and Transmission at STI (T), Delhi from the year 2000-2007.

Also worked at R&D office of AIR & DD and at Doordarshan Maintenance center, Leh as Station Engineer with additional charge of DDK, Leh.

Worked at DD Headquarter in the co-ordination and Monitoring section and Satellite Maintenance section.
